Covid and a state of affairs with SSVi April 22, 2020 22:05

Hey all!  So its been quite a while since I’ve posted a blog, but with everything going on I figured there’s more than enough to talk about.

First off - trigger bars. I know lots of people are waiting on orders containing medium frame Tyr setups.  I apologize profusely as it all comes down to the owner of the company being responsible for all the good and bad like this.  Myself and many other companies are waiting on trigger assemblies from Glock.  I’ve been on backorder before, 2 weeks use to be a very long time.  We’re going on close to 2 months at this point and I still don’t have a clear idea on when to expect them, I’m assuming covid-19 is doing its damage on manufacturing and everything on down the line to distribution.  EVERYONE waiting on backorders will get a set of patches and stickers

In the meantime, as an olive branch I’m extending out a discount code, any “Standard Issue” Tyr trigger, in stock or not (the blacks, reds, od green, blue, gold, basically anything not special edition like NiB or Ti) at the current sale price will also get you 20% off a ‘shoe only’ in all the standard issue models too. Basically, buy one, get one (shoe) 20% off.

Now...for better news!  I’m currently in design development with a couple bad ass engineers I work with on the SSVi mag well.  Yep, its high past time for one too, think Tyr trigger aesthetics, low profile duty carry.  We’re in the very beginning stages of it, but I know what I want and my guys know what they’re doing, I don’t see it taking forever to develop.

So...that’s about the long and short of it, I’ll be sending this out to everyone on the mailing list and hopefully things start moving smoothly in all areas of our life soon. My boys are growing up big and strong, 30 and 35 pounds last time I checked, and still the biggest trouble makers ever.

December 29, just a short update and note. December 29, 2015 00:37

I underwent shoulder surgery to repair a torn labrum tendon in my right shoulder earlier today (the 28th).  It stemmed from a training injury a few years back and caused a lot of pain initially but over time it basically 'healed' to the point where it didn't hurt anymore, just crunched and popped and limited what I could do.  I finally took the plunge, got an MRI done and we're lucky enough in Idaho Falls to have a very renown shoulder/knee surgeon that did (and still does) a lot of NFL player's work.  The surgery went well, its still a good 6-8 week minimum before I'm full on work-ready (speaking day job), but gun work shouldn't be nearly as far on the back burner so for those of you who have firearms here waiting to be worked on, don't fret, I'll be getting to them soon!

I also received the update that the new order of Tyr triggers are back from anodizing, once they've gone through laser marking they'll be back in hand and ready to ship!  Again, I thank you all for your patience and look forward to your feedback once you receive your order, this should be the last of the long waits for triggers, things should be smooth sailing from here on out!

Tyr Triggers, backorders, and other things. December 6, 2015 16:35 2 Comments

For those that have ordered theses highly sought-after triggers, you have no idea what its meant to hear the positive feedback and how happy everyone's been with them.  If you're on instagram, an independent trigger test for function, safety and reliability is being performed by @landersweaponsolutions and though I can't speak for the other triggers in the line-up (10 current top-shelf triggers being tested), I will tell you he emailed me after posting videos of him literally beating the hell out of the gun trying to make the trigger actuate accidentally (which did not happen) and informed me he's keeping the trigger and asked to pay for it...so I'm taking that as a good sign against the other market contenders.

For those being patient enough to wait for stock to get replenished all I can do is say thank you, please remain patient, the order I placed with manufacturing this time around is five times the size of the previous orders so I'm hoping this is one of the last times anyone has to wait for a trigger.  I've been told I'm looking at early to mid January for receiving, all orders placed will be filled in the order they were made.  Continue to feel free to place orders, all orders will be filled around said time.

My current backlog for work is roughly 8-10 weeks, sometimes sooner but I try to err on the side of caution.  I'll be having shoulder surgery (right labrum) at the end of this month, but being left handed I'm hoping this doesn't totally throw off my work schedule and will continue to keep everyone updated on progress if anything goes awry.  I'll see everyone who plans to attend SHOT Show, so if you're going be sure and look me up and say hi!
